Duties or tasks may include sorting and labelling books, entering data and information, maintaining display, keeping areas tidy and organized.

2-4 hours weekly

Virtual Ad HOC Committee

This is an opportunity to improve communication and collaboration skills. A chance to practice participating in virtual meetings (eg. Zoom), and contribute to the mission and mandate of a charitable not-for-profit society that helps those in need in Edmonton, AB.

Responsibilities:

  • Brainstorm to promote our logo and create/implement ideas for the public to recognize our programs in accordance with our faith-based not-for-profit Charity Missions. 
  • Attend and contribute in weekly meetings;
  • All ideas of implementation, along with committed duties relating to the committee, are reviewed first by FSBS Communication Coordinator.

2-4 hours weekly
6 months or less

Groundskeeper

General responsibilities are to perform groundskeeping duties. Duties include helping with snow removal, shovelling snow from walkways, sprinkling deicer to prevent slips and falls, sweeping debris from walkways and keeping them clear. All other duties are assigned with the Full-Time Maintenance Supervisor.

2-4 hours weekly
1 month and longer / ongoing

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs

Assistant Gardener

Duties or tasks include performing gardening duties by helping with planting in the Spring, maintaining flower beds, mowing lawns, raking leaves, assisting with all other duties to gardening and reporting to Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Flexible
  • Gardening or horticultural experience/knowledge
  • Sense of humour
  • Friendly and outgoing
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and settings
